“ADDC Kishtwar Reviews Progress under District Capex Plan 2023-24: Significant Achievements Noted
On 27th December 2023, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar, Sham Lal, conducted a comprehensive review meeting to assess the advancements made under the Area Development Plan/District Capex budget for the fiscal year 2023-24. The meeting, held in his office chamber, focused on achieving 100 percent completion of the allotted works while maintaining a stringent commitment to work quality.
During the session, ADDC Sham Lal meticulously examined the sector-wise progress in Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RDD), Education, Youth Services and Sports (YS&S), Health, and other sectors falling under the District Capex framework. The review encompassed a detailed analysis of the allotment of works, current on-ground activities, completed projects, and other related issues.
Joint Director Planning, Mohd Iqbal, provided an update that highlighted the completion of 1368 out of 1917 allotted works under the District Capex for the financial year 2023-24. He assured that the remaining works were progressing swiftly and would be concluded soon.
ADDC Kishtwar received information that 11 out of 17 Aspirational Block Development Programme works and 09 out of 17 Aspirational Panchayat Development Programme works have been successfully completed under the Capex Budget.
Emphasizing the importance of achieving 100 percent targets within the stipulated timeframe, ADDC Kishtwar directed officers to focus on timely completion and underscored the significance of billing for completed works. He urged officers to align financial expenditures with the achieved physical targets.
ADDC Kishtwar also stressed the need for officers to employ all possible measures to expedite the remaining works. He called for personal monitoring of both the quality and progress of all allotted works.
The meeting witnessed the participation of ACD Kishtwar Manoj Kumar, DPO Sunil Bhutyal, ExEns of REW, PWD, all BDOs, and other relevant district officers.”
